Desert city of Dubai floods as UAE hit by heaviest rainfall in 75 years

this is another thing about the UAE, its NOT a DEMOCRACY, its a Monarchy, and if you fall foul of those laws, you are hauled away to jail in that flashy G wagon police idiot U v.

if you are apostate and don't believe in a god, jail for you, or something like that, somebody correct me of their draconian laws.

alcohol is illegal, apart from certain hotels, not sure what they think about gay people, but dont remember a gay pride parade in Dubai.
The only thing correct you said is that it is not a democracy and that there is no gay pride parades (I have seen parties advertised though so there is a sizeable amount of people I guess).

There laws are mostly the same as ours. The big thing is just you are not allowed to try to convert people and no PDA. And know pictures of people without their explicit permission.

Alcohol is scarce but not illegal in most emirates.

I don't know about that.

I find it funny when I play Golf in SA cant get a beer before 11am. I can roll into a golf course in Dubai at 7am and smash a beer (or two ) before my round.

Correct, it's not a democracy, and most things are state owned, from power to telecoms, and they are run efficiently. A litre os petrol is 1/3 the cost as in SA. The power is cheap, and I've never seen a light flicker. Public transport is cheap, safe and efficient. Yes, one isn't allowed to organise protests or mass gatherings, but most issues are resolved in life without that.

The UAE is very respectful of all religions. Christian festivals are celebrated just as much. The Abrahamic Family House in Abu Dhabi has the most beautiful contemporary church, synagogue and mosque right next to each other.

The aim of the game in the UAE is to be kind and respectful. You see this everywhere - no road rage, courteous people, no aggression. Gay people can very happily live there and visit, it's really not an issue.

Alcohol is very much permitted, but expensive. One can buy it from bottle shops with their passport, visit hotels and clubs. Again, if done respectfully, it's not an issue. If you're the type who likes to drive drunk, stagger through the streets being disrespectful to others, then yes, you will be arrested very likely.

By his 3rd post should realise he isn't here to unignorant himself.

He is just here to **** on the Middle East.

But we know why.

Yes, I gathered that. Very likely the kind of person who sees the glass half full in every case. It's funny to read though.
