Great note 10 coming up for upgrade in April , perfect timing :)

Was looking at cheaper options , but looking at the Ultra , sold

If they can manage to fit the s-pen into the phone like they did on the Note I might just upgrade.

Been buying every Galaxy since the S3 but that stopped with the S20 Ultra. 2 years now and going strong. It just ticked all the boxes. Will only upgrade if it breaks.

I heard $100.00 more than the S21 and a 3,700mah battery :/

All three Galaxy S22 models will use a new Gorilla Glass Victus+

Corning unveiled Gorilla Glass Victus about a year and a half ago and since then it has been used in many flagship phones (starting with the Galaxy Note20 Ultra) as well as some rugged handsets. The successor to this strengthened glass may be just around the corner and it will (allegedly) be featured on Samsung’s upcoming flagships.

The Galaxy S22, S22+ and S22 Ultra will all use “Gorilla Glass Victus+”, according to Ice Universe. It’s not clear if this is for both the front and back or just the front.

A month ago The Cat did say that all three S22 models will have glass backs. But even if they use an older version of Gorilla Glass for the rear panel, it will still be an upgrade over the S21 and S21+, which got plastic backs. The S21 Ultra did have Victus on both sides.

The Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra will have some special glass on the back – a leaked spec sheet mentions Super Clear Glass, which was also developed by Corning. This glass will reduce the reflections and glare.

Samsung Galaxy S22 series' regional chipset configurations revealed

Samsung has been pretty consistent with the distribution of the two chipset versions of its flagships, but this year rumors emerged that potential Exynos production issues might shake things up. The company finally announced the Exynos 2200 on Tuesday and now a leakster claims to have the list of markets that will get it.

Traditionally Europe is getting Exynos-powered Galaxy S flagships, while North America and east Asia are going with the Snapdragon version.

Interestingly, some regions like Africa, Middle East Asia and West Asia will get both options, depending on the country.

Still the same price for both chips I’d imagine. Bit **** that they’ve been charging everyone Snapdragon prices for their sub-par Exynos phones for years.

Samsung confirms February launch event, promises a "noteworthy" Galaxy S22 Ultra

Guess what? Samsung is planning a flagship phone launch event next month, as has been rumored multiple times already. While the company hasn't yet confirmed an exact date for the next Unpacked event, TM Roh, the President and Head of MX Business for Samsung Electronics, penned an interesting blog post today, which was accompanied by the teaser video you can see below.

Roh promises that, at next month's Unpacked, we'll get to see "the most noteworthy S series device" Samsung has ever made. Get it? Noteworthy?

But wait, there's more: "the next generation of Galaxy S is here, bringing together the greatest experiences of our Samsung Galaxy into one ultimate device".

All of this sounds like a pretty transparent way of teasing the fact that the Note line, dead in 2021, is making a comeback this year - but not as the Note line. In fact, the Galaxy S22 Ultra has already been rumored to adopt a design that's similar in style to that of the Galaxy Note20 Ultra (the last Note ever made), while incorporating a built-in stylus with the lowest ever touch latency rate.

Roh's blog post ends with the following sentence: "Get ready for the ultimate Ultra experience", and we think that confirms that the name of the company's next ultra high-end smartphone will be S22 Ultra and not S22 Note as rumored at different points in the past.
