Robocop

Hi Robocop. Neat design for Neotel antenae. Is there a specific reason why you use aluminium tube. ( Looks like about 5 or 6 mm diameter ) ?. Can I use 3 mm rod and get the same effect ?

I'm in Sunward Park, not sure where the base station is, but my arial points about WNW from where I am. I'm using this self built arial http://www.perite.com/vk7jj/NextGYagi.htm
Whithout the arial I get no bars.

Sorry to bother you with a PM, but I stay in Klippoortjie (just behnd Elspark) and would like to get Neotel as well. I see you indicate that you get 3 bars on your reception. Do you know where the base station is? Also where did you get an external aerial and what's your reception like without the aerial?
