Major Galaxy AI update launching for nine Samsung devices

Samsung will begin rolling out a One UI update later this week, making Galaxy AI available to nine more devices.

The tech giant announced it would begin rolling out the update on 28 March to devices launched in 2023.

Samsung introduced Galaxy AI during the release of the S24 series at the end of January.

The features are now being made available to more devices as part of Samsung’s goal to make Galaxy AI accessible to more than 100 million users in 2024.

“Our goal with Galaxy AI is not only to pioneer a new era of mobile AI but also to empower users by making AI more accessible,” said Tae-Moon Roh, president of Samsung Electronics.

The following devices will be able to install the One UI 6.1 update:

  • Galaxy S23
  • Galaxy S23+
  • Galaxy S23 Ultra
  • Galaxy S23 FE
  • Galaxy Z Fold 5
  • Galaxy Z Flip 5
  • Galaxy Tab S9
  • Galaxy Tab S9+
  • Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra

Galaxy AI features

According to Samsung, the full Galaxy AI suite will be available in the One UI 6.1 update.

This includes Circle to Search with Google, Note Assist, Browsing Assist, and Transcript Assist.

It will also feature Chat Assist and Live Translate. Live Translate provides voice and text translation during phone calls.

The update also includes a host of photo and video features such as Generative Edit, Edit Suggestion and Instant Slow-mo.
